Kissy Face

Welcome back! I have a sweet layout for you today, using the "Love Notes" collection by Crate Paper! I just love this line, I love the soft delicious colors and the meaning behind it all. What's not to love about a holiday devoted just to the loved ones in your life?!

I  was trying to steal a smoochie for the pic but as soon as Beeb saw the camera that opportunity was history!

I love the prize ribbon look that's trending now, so I thought I'd create my own ;)

Lots of fun little sprinkles..

I love these little mint green frames by Webster's Pages so much I bought a whole pack of them instead of  getting the multi colored pack lol!

The collection has this great book print type of paper, but I wanted some of it pink so I sprayed a whole sheet down with the Blush Color Shine!

Super sweet. I just adore these colors! Pure delight.

Thank you for stopping by and have a lovely day!

Love, Rah xoxo

Mine Would Be You

Good morning and happy Sunday! What a beautiful day! Have you heard the new Blake Shelton song "Mine Would Be You?" I just love it! It talks about all the things you love about someone, all of the little details that make your relationship so special. My favorite line is "What's the greatest chapter in your book?" When I heard that I immediately thought of my boys. And cried. And cried. They are the most amazing creatures, the greatest gift the Lord could have ever blessed me with. Everyday with them has been an adventure. They have completely filled my life, my whole heart. We have been through some really tough and trying times! I believe that those are the times in our lives that bring us closer to one another, building these strong ties that bind us together. And you know what? When I think of all of these struggles that we have been through? They are some of the greatest times of my life. I wouldn't have had it any other way.

So here is my layout that is up on the Marion Smith Design's blog today. I used the stunning new collection Mad Tea Party! I loved this collection right when I saw it, the colors are so pretty and the roses and ohmygoodness how I love Alice in Wonderland!! One of my faves ever.

For my journaling spot, I created it using Marion's new stamp sets! I combined the alphabet set "Typography" and another set called "Serendipity" that has a mixture of line breaks and other elements so you can create your own chalk style art and things like that!

I was scared at first, but I just grabbed a scratch sheet of paper and started to play and I was ok after that. It was actually lots of fun! Yes some of it is crooked, but I like to think that's what gives it that charm........right?? Maybe?? A little??

To go along with my book and chapter theme I wanted to use some book paper, but also wanted it pink sooo I sprayed it down with the new Blush Color Shine by Heidi Swapp! This is my favorite new color of hers, you could say I'm a little addicted.. The old paper took it like a champ and is very shimmery and beautiful!

Lots of layering and tucking;

Another stamp technique I used was heat embossing. I love doing this! You can call me a nerd or whatev but everytime I heat emboss something I'm like "WOW IS THIS MAGIC?!"   I might even squeal a little. Don't judge. I used light pink powder and an adorable dainty new butterfly stamp that Marion has, then just fussy cut around the stamped image. Super cute and easy embellishment!

Thank you for stopping in today, and please make sure you check out Marion's new Mad Tea Party line, it is gorgeous!! Have a beautiful day!!

Charming Boy

Hey paper peeps! How is your super Saturday?! Mine is wonderful! My mom & dad visited for a lunch cookout, my mom & I went to Hobby Lobby, and I get to create tonite woohoo! Such a beautiful day. I wanted to share a layout with you! Over at the Crate Paper Blog they are having a  challenge, to use navy blue and sequins, 2 items that have been pretty high on my list lately ;) As I was going through my Crate Paper stash, I started seeing all of these "blue" bits & pieces that I loved, sooo my layout's pretty much all blue. Like totally monochromatic blue... like lots and lots of blue. Like if you don't care for the color blue, stop scrolling..

This photo is my son Brandon (whom I call Beeb), and he just kills me. In one second he's charming and handsome, and literally in the same second he's dribbling tater chips out of his mouth. I don't know how he does it, must be a boy thing...

Such a looker...

I usually don't do a lot of stamping on my layouts, basically because I'm skeered. I don't want to spend all this time on a layout and then screw it up because of a little smudge, which would drive me absolutely bonkers for all eternity, ya feelin me? People may not see it, but I'll know it's there. I got out the stamps I wanted to use, got my little ink out, and as I was peeling one of my stamps off of the clear thing, a piece of it ripped totally off! I sqwished it back onto the clear block, and I can't believe it, but you can't even tell. It's like a stamping miracle. Due to the anxiety of the whole thing I literally had to step outside for a breath of fresh air. I mean this is serious stuff folks. After awhile I just told myself to stop being such a sissy and get on with it! And you know what? It worked out ;) You just need to commit. Commitment. That's a whooole other blog post..

Go on over to the Crate Blog, grab the info and play along! And remember- scrapbooking should not make you hyperventilate. Grab your stamps, and suck it up sister!
