Snow Day!!

Hey there! How are you on this glorious Sunday?! My poor little guy is sickie today so we missed church, I swear every person I know has some sort of sickness right now, even if it's just a cold! Ahh tis the season ;) So I have a fun project to share with you today! I bought this really cute picture frame from Kohl's at the beginning of the shopping season, it's covered in white jingle bells and dusted with a layer of sugar coating. (glitter. love.) I was saving it for something, I don't know what, and it dawned on me how cute it would be with a mini album attached to the front of it?! I have the new "Bundled Up" collection by Crate Paper, have you seen it? The colors are delish. Super cute! I thought that'd be perfect for a festive little album! I printed out some pics of my boys having a ball out in our yard after a huge snow, and this is what I came out with. Hope you likey ;)

Isn't that fun? It all came together really fast too! I wanted to make something simple and cute, just to get the memories documented, that is the real reason we scrap right? Woohoo! All you do is get a binding mechanism, like this one is a Tim Holtz one, and fill it with memories, then glue it into your frame. That's it!  I can't wait to put it out for people to enjoy. I think it is so cool to have little albums sprinkled throughout the house to look at! Memories are better when they are shared.

Thanks for hangin out and go dig through your stash for an old picture frame that you can alter! It is so much fun!

Time Flies, Buy Art Supplies

Hey lovelies! How are you today?! It's so good to be home. I just love coming home from work and chillin for a second (if possible)! Today over at Marion Smith Design's Blog we had a group post. Since it is back to school season, the DT each had the assignment of altering a book or notebook or something to that effect. I chose to do just a simple little something, because I want to be able to take it with me to places and I know this thing is gonna get beat up!

What is it you ask? Wellll it's a journal where I am going to keep lists and lists (& lists!) of all of my art supplies. I order a lot of things online, and I find myself wondering if "I already have that" and whatnot. And lets face it, the cost of supplies adds up quick! I have a tendency to be drawn to certain colors, which means I tend to purchase the same reinkers and powders and things like that repeatedly... Maybe this sounds like one of you? lol

I will definitely show pics when the inside is complete! I used some of Marion's printables from the "Scarlet" line that you can find here!! It is hands down one of my fave collections ever! The colors are so inspiring ;) I also used some polka dotted tape, new letter stickers by Tim Holtz,a striped piece of paper by MME, and some white resin pieces by Melissa Frances and Prima.

Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you stop over at Marion's blog to see all of the amazing journals that are sure to inspire!

Shabby Card With A Twist

Hey paper peeps! Today was my first posting over at Marion Smith Designs Blog, if you haven't been over there make sure you do because you will be so inspired! There are new beautiful creations every day! For my project I wanted to create a special something for someone that I haven't seen in awhile, but more than just a card. I want to stick photos in it and such so I knew I wanted pockets, and of course tags for extra journaling.

So I created an accordion effect that houses tags..

I used printables from Marion's store that you can find here! Marion's designs are so gorgeous that you don't really have to do anything to them, just cut them out and the rest is just icing on the cake!

I wanted a shabby eclectic flea market type feel, so I used some other  random goodies I had in my stash like this sentiment stamp by Stampin Up, some Tim Holtz metal and ink, a chipboard piece by Basic Grey, a Crate Paper pin, Prima flowers, etc.

If you love these papers, go check them out here and look for Scarlet, Life Journal Book, & Folder Book Kit.

Thank you so much for hangin out! Have a wonderful evening!

Sweetness

Hey what a gorgeous Sunday! Did you have a wonderful weekend? Any weekend not at work is wonderful, yes?? I had some creative time, and I got my hands on this adorable "Sweetness" line by Authentique so I thought I'd play. I've been hoarding a delicious pink/white striped mini file folder by Heidi Swapp along with some other of her goodies, and I finally found their use in this mini album. The colors look amazing together!! (And Heidi if you ever read this, I am just going to warn you that I am going to kiss you all over your face when I see you for putting a large pink & white stripe file folder in your new collection!! ;) So anyhoo, here is the mini, minus the pics.. WARNING; DOILY OVERLOAD!!!!!

Chunkiness!!

I created a little flapper at the end so I could stick a couple extra pics into it..

I bound the folder and inside pages with some ribbon, easy peasy!

Don't you just want to eat this thing?! I can't wait to put some sugary sweet pics in here!! I am just smitten with this line, I don't know how Authentique went into my head and pulled this collection out but I don't think it could fit me any more perfectly?!

So thank you for stopping by and have a sugary sweet Sunday!!
