A Lovely Pie In June

Oh dear. It has been awhile. It feels so good to be back! I have been working 7-12's since the middle of April!! Talk about exhaustion. I am so thankful to be working, but jeez!! So I do apologize, my darling readers, for my absence. How has your spring been? I finally got to spend some time with my mom yesterday, we had the most delightful day!! There is an amazing store called Whimsy that I absolutely adore, and the very talented owner Traci Tessone was hosting a very special event;

I don't know what made me check her blog that day, but I'm sure glad I did! I bought a ticket for my mom and I, I knew it would be just the thing for me coming off of these long hours. There is something about spending time with kindred spirits, sort of a healing, wouldn't you say? Ladies that understand why you have 20lbs. of baubles hanging from your neck, or why you're contorting in every which way to capture the perfect angle of your watermelon gazpacho? (Which by the way was amazing)! ;)

So we got to spend some time with the ladies that created "Pieography!"

and Traci.

These two women are beautiful souls and it was pure delight listening to them share their adventures in the making of this fabulous book! Anne Marie baked every delicious pie with love ;) and Traci used her camera to beautifully capture the essence of every pie, all while collaborating with the editor in chief of Where Women Create, Jo Packham.

Traci Tessone, the owner of Whimsy, created the most stunning setting, you would never guess we were smack dab right in the middle of a flea market!!

She has such an eye for detail, from the beautiful vintage tea settings filled with pink roses,

down to the pink & white striped straws in our pink champagne! Every inch was bliss.

Isn't this ruffley table cloth gorgeous?! Traci has them in her Etsy shop!!

After everyone ate, Traci instructed us on creating these beautiful flower arrangements with the tea cups that were at our place setting. The pink roses we used. Were. Stunning. Another example of Gods amazing love for us.

And here's what we made;

It was so much fun!! And of course, as if the day couldn't get any better, Anne Marie was kind enough to bake us, yep. You guessed it. PIES!!!

Wasn't that sweet of her?! She rocks! I got to try the Strawberry Rhubarb, and I have to tell you that it was literally the best pie I have ever eaten. It was so good. I wish I could tell you that my darling little pink & white striped-to-go-pie container made it home with a crumbly and ever so juicy slice of heaven fully intact buuttt....

I would be lying. It didn't even make it near the edge of the table. I devoured every last morsel. It was amazing. Thank you Anne Marie!

After this lovely luncheon with our new friends, my mom and I explored a few stores, enjoyed a hot cup of coffee, and admired our newfound treasures.

Thank you Anne Marie & Traci of Pieography for taking the time to share some pie and laughs, and thank you Traci of Whimsy for this purely decadent day, it was just what my  heart and soul needed ;) One thing I learned today? Pie defenitely tastes better while sharing it in the company of kindred spirits. Love you girls!

Have a blessed day everyone!! I've missed you!!

Scraps Of Elegance April Kit Reveal = Possibility!

Hey hi! I am here with you today to share the new Scraps Of Elegance April Kit! It is called Possibility;

undefined

I'd say that's a really good name for it, being that it is absolutely full of gorgeous products!! It's got the new line by BoBunny, called Cest La Vie. Also some beautiful Petaloo flowers, butterflies by Renea Bouquet, etc etc. Lots of possibility to make some beautiful creations!!

I have 2 layouts for you today, the first one is based off of the sketch for the kit;

undefined

Isn't that super fun?! Here's my take, a little different.

I fell in love with this big dress form on one of the patterned papers, so I had to cut it out and dress her up! So pretty. Also, the kit has some gorgeous purple velvet paper, so I used my new bow tie die and made a little velvet bow. Sooo girly! This is a picture of my niece and I at my bros wedding shower. Isn't she a doll? I just love when girls wear dresses! Also the kit had an awesome new stencil by Prima in it, so I used that with the purple Glimmer Mist in the kit and added some interest to the background that way.

Now, being a mama of 2 amazing little boys, I have become pretty good at making boy pages out of just about anything lol! This kit is so pretty, but it does have some really cute striped paper which I love love loved, so here is what I came up with;

My son Beeb has this light about him, this zest for life that I cherish so in him. Every little thing is an adventure to him! Such an awesome way to live! This picture just tugs at my heart, he is in pure bliss. Hence why I chose this awesome quote by Bob Marley.

Another awesome stencil by Prima!! I adore rain, so when I saw this stencil I was like Oh yeah come to mama!

This raindrops came from another awesome stencil by Prima! I just love the rain ;) Makes for one bumpy page lol!

I hope you'll go check out the other DTs blogs for some incredible inspiration, also there is a feature on us at the BoBunny blog too! Super exciting! So go grab yourself a cup of java and enjoy! Stop back here soon for some more projects made with Possibility..

Love, Rah

Glorious Easter

Happy Easter! The most wonderful victorious day of the year ;)

The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6 He is not here; he has risen, just as he said.
Matthew 28; 5-6

Thank you God for sending your one and only son so that we can spend eternity with you. I love you.

Scraps Of Elegance March Kit Round 2!!

Hey there happy Sunday!! What a beautiful day!! I am so loving the daylight staying around here a little longer each day. I cannot wait until I can sit on my front porch again, out in the fresh air, sipping my hot coffee! Ahhh, simple pleasures. Also, I'm reeallly gettin the gardening bug! Especially with this months kit from Scraps Of Elegance! I promised you some more projects, and today I am going to deliver. I have a layout and a card wootwoot!
First off, a kit from Scraps Of Elegance always comes with a fun sketch, so we'll start with that one. Here is the sketch;

Isn't it beautiful?! Here is what I came up with!

This is a picture of my grandpa on my dads side as a young lad, Charlie. Not sure who the girl is, but I love the stripes on her dress, that's why I chose this green striped paper. Kinda matches lol!

This line by Graphic 45 is sooo beautiful! I love anything garden related, it makes me happy!
For my next trick, I made another card with the kit. Green and purple is stunning together, don't you think?

I took one of the beautiful Prima vines in the kit, and applied a coat of Amethyst Color Shine to go with my purple theme I had going. I softened the flowers with some gesso and it turned out quite pretty ;)

If you have spring fever and cannot WAIT to get out and play in the dirt, this beautiful kit will defenitely help!

Have a creative day and thank you for stopping by loves!

xoxo Rah
