Kissy Face

Welcome back! I have a sweet layout for you today, using the "Love Notes" collection by Crate Paper! I just love this line, I love the soft delicious colors and the meaning behind it all. What's not to love about a holiday devoted just to the loved ones in your life?!

I  was trying to steal a smoochie for the pic but as soon as Beeb saw the camera that opportunity was history!

I love the prize ribbon look that's trending now, so I thought I'd create my own ;)

Lots of fun little sprinkles..

I love these little mint green frames by Webster's Pages so much I bought a whole pack of them instead of  getting the multi colored pack lol!

The collection has this great book print type of paper, but I wanted some of it pink so I sprayed a whole sheet down with the Blush Color Shine!

Super sweet. I just adore these colors! Pure delight.

Thank you for stopping by and have a lovely day!

Colorshine Cards Part 2

Hey paper peeps! Welcome to the continuing saga of my Colorshine Card adventures ;) I have a couple more cards for you today, both of which are Valentines woohoo! My first one is using the new heart shaped Color Shine card by Heidi Swapp, find them at Michaels! Here is what I came up with!

Seriously I know we hear this all the time, but the possibilities are really endless. I'm sorry. I had to go there. I used the Blush Color Shine which is my absolute favorite. It's just so soft and purty!

I wanted to jazz up the heart with a word cut out, but I don't have the Silhouette or anything like that (I've been dreaming of owning one fo-evuh now!) so I just used some regular letter dies, opened it up and ran it through my big shot like this;

Turned out pretty cute, but just be careful that you plan out your letters first and make sure you have room for all of them lol I kinda scared myself a little, thought I was gonna run out eek! I added some glittery paper behind the letters to make them pop!

On the inside I used a new Heidi Swapp background stamp with white heat embossing powder, and I love how it turned out! For some reason the pics are super dark but the card is really light and pretty in real life?

I did a light coat of the Blush Color Shine first, then laid down the heart negative from the heart stencil set and sprayed it again, which left this faded looking heart there. I love it!

I love making the inside of cards look pretty too! Especially if I'm not putting money in it ha!

Okay for my next trick I have another Color Shine Card, a super simple one using a mixture of the Coral & Blush shines.

I used the card with the adorable heart already cut out, and a Pink Paislee watercolor paper tag with the word LOVE cut out ;) The little hearts can be found in the Color Magic Ephemera Pack which I would suggest buying more than one...just sayin...

I just attached the tag by punching a hole at the top of the tag and the front cover top of the card, and tied some dyed ribbon in it.

So fun and it was a super easy and fast card!

If any of you would like to send me a Valentine I wouldn't be mad.... ;)

Have a beautiful day and get scrappin!

Love, Rah

So Lucky To Have You!

Hey happy happy Sunday! I woke up to a beautiful landscape of rolling snowy drifts sprinkled with tiny specks of glitter, one of Gods greatest gifts to me lol! I love that! It's so pretty it makes up for the coldness ;) I finally got my mitts on some of the new Colorshine Cards at Michaels by Heidi Swapp. I spent the whole darn day a few hours playing in the midst of shiny clouds of color yesterday and came up with some fun idears for them! The first one I'm going to show you is kinda weirrrrrd, being that it's just now turning February. I had this stinkin St. Patty's Day card in my head so I just bit the bullet and made it lol!

I do have the regular green Colorshine called "Chartreuse" but I didn't want it to be that dark, so I sprayed the Mustard & Teal together and let it sit and pool together, then blended it with my paper towel, which seems to be what made the magic happen.

The rest is just fun little details! I ran the little journaling die cut spot through my big shot with the word "lucky" die cut which is from Papertrey Ink. I love these new letter stamps from Lawn Fawn, so cute!

If you're wondering where the clovers came from, they are the back petals of one of the Colorshine flowers at Michaels, just tore them babies right off and sprayed them down! Cut them in half and you have yourself some clovers ;)

If you;ll notice on the tab below, there are some subtle music notes...

I wanted to add some visual interest without it being too busy, but don't freak if you don't have the perfect color ink to match, this is a quick fun tip that will work EVERY TIME!!

All you need is a stamp and your Versamark Watermark Stamp!

All you do is after you Colorshine, stamp your image in the watermark ink, then just let it sit and dry, don't do anything to it! It will dry just a tad bit darker than your background color, and it's the perfect color every time ;)

Isn't that awesome?! Love it!

I have some more cards to share, so stay tuned! Thanks for stopping by!

You sparkle

Good morning! How are you today on this chilllyy Saturday morning? I have something that will warm you up just a little ;) It's my turn over at the Marion Smith Designs Blog, and I made this wintery layout of my adorable niece Kassidy using the Garment District line and a white resin rose from Marion Smith!

I also used some other products I had on hand like papers by Fancy Pants Designs, some polka dot vellum, Thickers, and some Papertrey Ink snowflake dies cut out with white sparkly paper!

I used Marion's new white resin rose, isn't it gorgeous? They have new gigantor ones coming soon, I cannot wait to play with them!

Make sure you get your hands on some of this Garment District Line before it's gone, it is so beautiful!

Thank you for stopping by and have a wonderful weekend!

Joy

Happy Monday! It is the season of giving and I love making homemade gifts! If you're looking for a quick handmade gift for someone but can't spend a lot of money, grab a cheapy composition notebook, some gorgeous scrapbook products that you have on hand, and get to work! Here is what I came up with using the new Pink Paislee pad called "Noel" and the new Heidi Swapp Believe paper pad, a snowflake stencil, some gesso, and a few other tid bits!

Some other things I used are star sequins, Seafoam Color Shine, Pink Paislee label with resist, pinecone, starry vellum that I am currently addicted to, Heidi Swapp trim, K&Company letters, and a Tim Holtz frame and word sticker.

Wouldn't this be such a great prezzie for someone who likes to make lists or journal? Even a doodler!? Love.

Have a wonderful evening and I would love to see what you create!

Mine Would Be You

Good morning and happy Sunday! What a beautiful day! Have you heard the new Blake Shelton song "Mine Would Be You?" I just love it! It talks about all the things you love about someone, all of the little details that make your relationship so special. My favorite line is "What's the greatest chapter in your book?" When I heard that I immediately thought of my boys. And cried. And cried. They are the most amazing creatures, the greatest gift the Lord could have ever blessed me with. Everyday with them has been an adventure. They have completely filled my life, my whole heart. We have been through some really tough and trying times! I believe that those are the times in our lives that bring us closer to one another, building these strong ties that bind us together. And you know what? When I think of all of these struggles that we have been through? They are some of the greatest times of my life. I wouldn't have had it any other way.

So here is my layout that is up on the Marion Smith Design's blog today. I used the stunning new collection Mad Tea Party! I loved this collection right when I saw it, the colors are so pretty and the roses and ohmygoodness how I love Alice in Wonderland!! One of my faves ever.

For my journaling spot, I created it using Marion's new stamp sets! I combined the alphabet set "Typography" and another set called "Serendipity" that has a mixture of line breaks and other elements so you can create your own chalk style art and things like that!

I was scared at first, but I just grabbed a scratch sheet of paper and started to play and I was ok after that. It was actually lots of fun! Yes some of it is crooked, but I like to think that's what gives it that charm........right?? Maybe?? A little??

To go along with my book and chapter theme I wanted to use some book paper, but also wanted it pink sooo I sprayed it down with the new Blush Color Shine by Heidi Swapp! This is my favorite new color of hers, you could say I'm a little addicted.. The old paper took it like a champ and is very shimmery and beautiful!

Lots of layering and tucking;

Another stamp technique I used was heat embossing. I love doing this! You can call me a nerd or whatev but everytime I heat emboss something I'm like "WOW IS THIS MAGIC?!"   I might even squeal a little. Don't judge. I used light pink powder and an adorable dainty new butterfly stamp that Marion has, then just fussy cut around the stamped image. Super cute and easy embellishment!

Thank you for stopping in today, and please make sure you check out Marion's new Mad Tea Party line, it is gorgeous!! Have a beautiful day!!

Trouble Makers!

Happy Happy Saturday! What a beautiful fall day! Any big plans for your weekend? I did but I have so much to do around the house I'm kinda just chillin at home, which is good too ;) I have another layout to share! Ok sooo my mom (Debbie) and my son (Kyle) have started this new thing where they love to make fun of me and then just start giggling away! They throw things at me, like I'm not talking like pillows or soft things of that nature, we're talking big honkin oranges and things like that! I'm like if you're gonna throw food at me, at least make it something with frosting so I have something tasty to lick off myself jeez. Anyhoo, here's the layout of the big bullies;

I used all new Heidi Swapp products, her new line Mixed Company and Navy Color Shine.
Also threw in some new American Crafts Thickers.

I made this little interactive piece to hide another picture and journaling, so easy you just fold a piece of paper over! Voila!

Some luscious layering;

In the collection there are these new adorable little rubons that resemble sequins, and I thought it would be cute to put mint green stars on every other hump on the white embossed frame! It looks super cute! Just a fun little tidbit ;)

If you just sprinkle some of the Color Shine on and then offset it with a few of the rubon sequins that looks really cute too! Adds some flat dimension.

So there ya have it! It feels so good to create some pages! I hate when you get in a busy rut in life and your head is constantly swimming with ideas and you just cant seem to sit and make something! That is one good thing about winter in Illinois is that you don't have the pressure of having to be outside all the time. I do love the outdoors, I just like to be inside too sometimes because that's where my scrap studio is lol!

So have a wonderful Saturday! Get busy and make something woodja?!

Thank you for stopping by!

Love Rah
xoxo
