Book Of Love

Wow I am pooped! We did some major pre-spring cleaning today in the house and I feel soooo much better! I love starting out the new year fresh and rid of any excess clutter. I did manage to spend some time in my scrap studio though, I am very proud of myself! Im almost finished with the mini book I started a few days ago with the new Making Memories line Jet'Adore. Its such a beautiful line that I wanted to be able to see it all at one time, and a mini book is perfect for that! So heres some pix, but they hardly do it any justice because you cant really see all the sparkly going on, but youll get the idea...

I loved the envelopes so I altered some of them and made them into pages,they are perfect for tucking in journaling tags and things. I have to say I think they are among my favorite things Ive ever made, I just love the pink tulle on the tags and the little tickets!

I didnt add anything to the page on the left yet, I really think its cute enough paper to just stand on its own. Do you ever do that? Sometimes if paper has words I think its perfect just the way it is...

I didnt have all of the doo dads and embellishments from the collection, but thats ok! Now I have to go back and add some journaling and a few more pix and itll be done woohoo! I love the little bits n pieces left over from a project, now maybe I can make some Valentines....

Spring Fever

Oh my goodness I cant wait for spring! I just want to get outside and get my hands dirty! I keep thinking about what perennials I want to plant...Maybe if I go out and peek at my garden Ill get some ideas...

So I wanted to share a layout with you, I really love the way it turned out and the colors are super springy! The photo is my mom with my niece, just hangin in my backyard, chillin. So cute!

Im pretty happy with the way it turned out, its bright and happy!

Well, time to turn in. What happened to the days of staying up til 3 am and waking up at 6am like I just got a full night of sleep? I wish I could still do that I would get so much done!

It Aint Easy Bein Green

Boy did Kermy know what he was talking about! Ok, I dont have any pictures, but I do have a story. My poor Kyle had a traumatic evening last night. The boys came home from their amazing weekend at the Cubs Convention, and came home to one of the weirdest and craziest nights we've ever had. They had only been home for a little while, and they both went upstairs to get ready for bed. Beeb came back downstairs kinda cryin a little saying "Kyles frog is dead Kyles frog is dead!" Soooo this being Kyles second froggie casualty, you can imagine our despair. Kyle was soooo upset!! I felt soooo bad! What can you say to your little sweety when their frog looks like it had just been jumped by a pack of geccos at a bar fight in Tiajuana? It looked like someone said "stickem up!"  and he keeled over frozen in that position! I tried to comfort Kyle and he calmed down a little. After awhile he came running up to me and grabbed me and said "Mom! God brought the frog back to life!" I was like WHAT?! Soooo I looked and sure enough, Matty was giving him little froggy chest compressions and saying "Stay away from the light!" Ok just kiddin. But he did get some warm water and put the froggy in it and he was plump and happy as ever. How crazy is that? Im telling you, we couldve played hockey with this thing, and now he was soaking his little tushy in his little froggy hottub? What in the world? Im telling you, the weirdest night ever. The important thing is  that Kyle immediately gave God the credit and everything is fine!..for now... But after this Im done with amphibians!!

Im Sorry

Hey its Saturday woot woot! Sooo I just wanted to apologize for really stinkin it up on this whole blogging thing. I am terrible! I guess Im just really discouraged because I dont know how to navigate very well yet and there are so many things I want to do to this blog, but Im just gonna be honest and say I have no idea how to do any of it. Soo I do apologize and I am gonna try to learn some more things so my blog can finally rock. Kay? Okay now we got that out of the way, time for some pretty paper. I received some Valentines goodies from Scrapbook.com this week, and I cant wait to play with them! They are from the new Valentines collection from Making Memories called "Je t'adore." No, not shut the door, "Je t'adore." This is the most beautiful line! Its just really pinky and girly and lovey dovey, I looovve it!! Tonight Im going to meet a few friends for dinner, and then come home and get my scrap on. Oh Yes. Look out. I know, Iknow. I shouldnt be such a crazy partier on a Saturday night, but thats just the way it is folks. Thats just how I roll. (Sarcasm noted?) Okay so heres a few pix, and then when (ok, if & when) I finish my little project with the beautimos papers, Ill post it. Try to contain your excitement! lol

Making Tracks

Happy New Year woohoo! What an amazing break! I had the most wonderful Christmas. I hope you all did too! What a wonderful time of year, praise God for sending His son!  It was so nice being able to stay at home with my boys for a whole week.  Dont get me wrong,  I am so thankful for having a job, but I REALLY miss being a stay at home mom. But we make do with what we got, and thats that. The Lord always provides so much for us, we can only be thankful! 

One day on vacay my dad brought over the boys' quad from his house and they pulled each other around on a sled. They had so much fun!  So did Taloula the Catahoula. I dont think Ive ever seen a puppy do so many laps around a yard before! She just kept on racin & racin! It was quite chilly but the snow looked so beautiful.
