Happy Birthday Big Momma!

Haaayyyy! Wuutttuuppp?! Todays my moms birthday wootwoot! We went to Shipshewana Indiana for the weekend, we had so much fun! I love spoiling her on her bday because she never spoils herself and she totally deserves it. She takes such amazing care of her family and is always doing things to help other people YESSS URLACHER JUST INTERCEPTED IT!!!! Ive never met a woman that adores her family like she does. Does it bother her that we're totally disfunctional? Does it matter that whenever our family gets together for holidays there's a massive food fight or a certain someone (no names me) gets thrown into the lake? Followed by UFC fighting in her living room complete with flying elbows? Did she get angry with me today when I smoked her in the side of the face with the luggage cart at the hotel?  No! That's freekin dedication folks.  So in honor of her birthday Im going to share a layout I did confessing my love for cupcakes. Most of the products used are by Pink Paislee.

The pink Thickers are by American Crafts which I must say are one of my favorite sets of letters ever! So cute!

The sparkly sticker letters are from Making Memories, baking twine is from Etsy, and the pink german foil scallops are from Art Chix Studio.

Happy Day

Wow has it been seriously this long since I blogged? Where is time going?! How have you been? Fall is defenitely in the air! I have to say, its probably my favorite season. The sky is soooo blue and crisp, the air is light and fresh, and it is amazing snuggling weather, yes? I wanted to show you a birthday card I made for a very dear friend of mine. She is such an amazing lady I just love her! Im working on another project for her also but I dont want to show you yet because she might visit before then ;)

I love the new "Blush" line by MME, its super shabby chic!

Ive been on this mint & pink kick lately, I just cant get enough of it weirrrrd.

Ive been trying to make my own embellishments lately to save money and is it helping you ask? Ummmm no. But its a fun way to use your stash! Think she'll like it? I hope so! Have a wonderful evening peeps!

Shoot For The Moon

Hey peeps! Wow I dont know about you guys but today was just creeeeeepppiiinnn by for me.. I was sooo happy to come home and just be. Sometimes I have amazing days where I feel like Im actually accomplishing something productive, and others I just feel exhausted and down and I just feel like Im spinning my wheels faster & faster and not getting anywhere, can I get a witness? Yesterday was one of those down days for me. Until I got an email that turned my whole day around! ;) Dont you just love those?! What was this uplifting email you ask?   Wellll The Shabby Tea Room had a design team call for 2 designers so I thought Id give it a whirl and submit something. I didnt really think I was gonna get picked but you just never know yes? Well sadly I didnt get picked. BUT. I did get an email saying that I was one of the runner uppers (yes thats a technical term) and they wanted to know if I would like to be a guest designer for the week of November 21st isnt that so exciting?! My first time ever being a guest designer!! So here's the project I submitted. The theme was "Lets Have Tea," using pink, yellow, and blue and flowers.

It's actually an invitation to a tea party. I made a pocket using a Sizzix die cut, and made a little card to fit inside it. I love making things for people that make them actually have to work for it interact with the project I think it makes it more interesting and fun, yes?

Most of the products used are from the Melissa Frances 5th Avenue line, along with some chipboard letters from The Girls Paperie, vintage seam binding, and embellishments from Prima.  I am bummed that I didnt get a design team spot but you gotta start somewhere right? I am so thankful for getting to do this, maybe this will open some doors for me! How does the saying go?  Shoot for the moon, even if you miss you'll land among the stars? Woo hoo! So thanks for hangin out loves and for sharing this exciting news with me! Good night!

Random Gratitude

Happy Tuesday! I dont have much to tell you other than some random things about how Im feeling today. Thats one thing I need to do is slow down and enjoy the everyday more instead of just watching time fly right on by. So how was your day? Mine was lonnng but I got my hair did and it feels sooo much healthier! Am I the only one who thinks getting your hair washed is the most amazing thing ever?! It feels soooo good! Anyway, I cant believe how fast summer has come and gone. Its craazzyy! The boys are changing so much every day I cant even tell you. Its so amazing to watch them grow into little young men. I am so thankful for the happiness and laughter they bring into my life!

 One night I told them to run outside so I could take their picture cuz the sun was setting and the lighting was beautiful and the moon was in the background and "blah blah blah mom" so they not only ran outside, but they gave me an outstanding photo shoot. Oh yeah theyre so trained! ;) Or just little smart alecs...

Well have a good night and thank you for letting me ramble on about nothing other than simply being thankful for today.  Life is good.

Labor Day

Good evening loves! Did you have a good weekend? I did, I always appreciate a long weekend & I reallly needed this one. This is gonna be a quick post,  I just wanted to share a card I made for a friend to give to his wife for their anniversary. I hope she liked it! ;)
