Every Little Thing

Good evening! Lets see if I can concentrate with "Chipwrecked" playing in the background haha! I'm actually kind of sad because the boys are like "wow this is lame" and I'm like oh that's just great that means you're getting too big for the Chipmunks ;( That's so sad. I can't believe in a couple weeks my oldest will be officially...a...teenager. Ugh. That's terrible! That's okay because I told him if he ever acts embarrassed of me I will pull his pants down in front of the whole baseball team! lol Annyywwaayyy, how was your day? I really need to do some rearranging on my blog with labels and such, but my laptop is apparently sick right now and moving suuuuuuper slow. Maybe after I get it fixed. So I wanted to share this card with you, I made it for my mom. She's what I like to call, a worrier. I have to keep reminding her to stop worrying about us, for goodness sakes her kids are all grown! She will text me just to ask me if I ate something today lol! She's hysterical! Sooo I made her this;

She loved it! I absolutely love this line by Glitz Design! These colors are to die! I glimmer misted that little packing tag with some red glimmer mist annnd, big shocker, added a dangly. ;) And don't get me wrong, I really love using doilies while crafting, but for some reason this time I wanted to switch it up a bit, so I used a die cut by K&Company.

I used a new nested die by Sizzix for the book print paper,  the red flower pin is Maya Road, the trims are from Hobby Lobby, and the polkie flower is Prima. I think it turned out pretty cute, and hopefully it will be a good reminder for her to stop worrying! I guess that's just what mommas do though. I am thankful to have someone there who cares . ;) ALOT.

Have a wonderful evening everyone and thank you so much for hangin out with me! I love and appreciate each and every one of you.

She Dreams Of Paris

Happy Tuesday! Phew is it great to be back! Did you miss me?! ;) I missed you guys! I can't believe May is almost gone, where has the spring gone?! I am almost finished prettying up my new scrap studio, I am SO excited! It's amazing what a few coats of paint will do...

So it's time for another Basically Bare post, and I have a new layout to share with you using some adorable Basically Bare products! Every once in awhile I try to do a layout about myself, and recently I've been dreaming about traveling so much. I guess because I don't get to very often? Anyway I would really love to visit Paris someday. I bet it's beautiful! And from what I hear it's delicious!  Here's my layout;

I used the new collection by Prima called Almanac. It is so beautiful I love it! I wanted to really emphasize the word Paris, so I put it on a banner using the Basically Bare banner chipboard embellies. They are so cute and they have different shapes so you can switch it up and make an eclectic feel.

Another adorable chipboard piece I used is the Basically Bare Fanciful Frame. I used a black Zig paint marker from The Kurtake Shop and covered it in black Martha Stewart glitter. It really did turn out fancy schmancy!! (technical term)

This layout was alot of fun, there's lots of layers! (And of course a Prima dangly)

I love these Prima bows, they are so dainty! I like to add a little bling to the center, it really adds the perfect little detail.

The creamy flower is Prima, the big blingy flower center is from Michaels, and the black flower is Jolee's.

Isn't that book print branch awesome?! I love it!

I swear, what will they come out with next?! I can't even handle it! lol

Well thank you for stoppin by and being so patient with my little blog-break, maybe I'll show some pix of my studio when its done!

Til next time ;) Keep it creative!

Such A Lovely Girl

Hey peeps! Mother's Day is quickly approaching and the Pixie Dust Paperie is hosting a new challenge, all about yo momma! Okay, sorry. Your mom. I know I have used this picture before, and you'll probably see it time and time again, but it's my favorite pic of my mom when she was little. So bear with me folks.

I found this neat little wooden frame at Michaels and painted it white to "shabby" it up a bit.  It makes the page kinda heavy, but I'm going to frame it so she can put it up in her room. Orrr my scrap studio...

Buttons & glitter, adorable felt Prima bow...

More Prima beauties with some Kaisercraft wooden foilage all gussied up, a shabby crown from Melissa Frances...

Isn't sheee looovvvvelllyyyy? ;) I love that song! Do you think she's going to like it?! I hope so! Get on over to Pixie and check out some more inspiration from the  amazing DT. You should play! You could win a gift certificate wooohooo!

Love, Rah

Use It Tuesday-Momma Challenge

Happy Tuesday yall! It's time for a new challenge over at the Use It Tuesday Blog! It's all about Mom!  I can't believe it's almost Mommas Day!? This is such a special holiday isn't it? I love it! I guess it helps that I was blessed with the most amazing mom, she is Super Woman in the flesh,  thee Mrs. Incredible, I aint kiddin. Tights, leotard, and all.  She is the lady that taught me alll about the wondrous world of crafting. (What she failed to mention is that the wondrous world of crafting sucks you in like a black hole until you're at the point of no return! Can I get a witness?! ) Her name is Debbie, and she is a quilter. Oh yes. I'm talkin hardcore. Tubs and tubs of patterns and fabric, every color, every print, oh muh gosh. Sound familiar? Rows upon rows of patterned paper? Every color? Every print? ;) Anyhoo, she likes to collect (notice I said collect? Not utilize?) Moda fabric charm packs and cake plates and jelly rolls, and I wanted to get her a charm pack for Mommas Day but I also wanted to present it in a cute way! Sooo I took this cute pink & white glassine type bag and folded it to make it the right size and voila. A charm pack holdin Mother's Day card!

I hope she likes it! I can not get enough of this Crate Paper Pretty Party line! It's one of my faves fo sho! So girly!

I also used a new stamp from The Crafts Meow;

But, the whole point of Use It Tuesday is to use your stash ladies! The hoarded items that I used are the ever dependable doily, the twine, the pink paper rose, and the vintage glitter on the scroll corner. It's from the 50s lol!

I sure hope she likes it! I'll stick a little love note in there too of course. So dig out your stash and come play with us! Check out the Use It Tuesday blog for some amazing inspiration from the design team!

Good night!

xoxo Rah
