I Love This Girl

Hello there! I can't believe I haven't blogged in so long I am so sorry lol! What's up with it already being Thanksgiving ahhhh!!!!! Are you all ready for the holidays?! I am so not ready SO READY!! I love this time of year ;) I like that it's chilly outside so I can feel less guilty about being in my scrap studio haha!! I actually just dug into my new stash of Crate Paper products by Maggie Holmes! Here's my layout;

 

This is my niece at her 4th birthday party, she was bringing me my princess party favor, I was so excited ;) She's got this cute little smirk on her face I just love her!

 

 

Isn't this a great collection?! So cute! I love the bright colors and it so suits her personality! I also used the new Dear Lizzy rose embellies, glittery Thickers, October Afternoon letter stickers, and some of my favorite MME washi tape!

 

Can't wait to create more cuteness with this line!

Time Flies, Buy Art Supplies

Hey lovelies! How are you today?! It's so good to be home. I just love coming home from work and chillin for a second (if possible)! Today over at Marion Smith Design's Blog we had a group post. Since it is back to school season, the DT each had the assignment of altering a book or notebook or something to that effect. I chose to do just a simple little something, because I want to be able to take it with me to places and I know this thing is gonna get beat up!

 

What is it you ask? Wellll it's a journal where I am going to keep lists and lists (& lists!) of all of my art supplies. I order a lot of things online, and I find myself wondering if "I already have that" and whatnot. And lets face it, the cost of supplies adds up quick! I have a tendency to be drawn to certain colors, which means I tend to purchase the same reinkers and powders and things like that repeatedly... Maybe this sounds like one of you? lol

 

 

 

I will definitely show pics when the inside is complete! I used some of Marion's printables from the "Scarlet" line that you can find here!! It is hands down one of my fave collections ever! The colors are so inspiring ;) I also used some polka dotted tape, new letter stickers by Tim Holtz,a striped piece of paper by MME, and some white resin pieces by Melissa Frances and Prima.

Be Still

Hey paper peeps!! How are Mondays for you? I love them because they fly by for me at work!! Tuesday on the other hand, not so much. So I wanted to drop in and show you a card I made last night. Do you ever feel like the Lord is speaking directly to you? I love when that happens but sometimes it's a little scary because He always knows exactly what you need!! In church yesterday a song popped in my head that opens with the lyrics, "I tend to be, busier than I should be.." and they just stuck. Immediately I thought of a new stamp from Close To My Heart that I bought a long time ago and haven't used. Of course I had to come home and make something with it right?! (**Note; I do pay attention in church, you'd be surprised at how fast these creative thoughts flash through my mind. Do you have this same curse blessing too?**) I also used a new die by My Favorite Things and  Sizzix, a Prima flower, and the collection "Miss Caroline" by My Minds Eye. The peachy colors are so beautiful in it!

 

 

Isn't that a beautiful stamp?! I just love it!! I can't wait to make some different variations!! And yes, I even do fussy cutting on my cards. I am a fussy cuttin freak. I guess there's worse things ;)

Hold Fast To Your Dreams

Whuttup!! Hump day woot woot!! I try to enjoy each day, but I can't help but look forward to the weekend all week! I suppose it's because I work full time..yuk! Are you going to Scrapfest in September?! I looked at the classes, and there are so many sold out already! What the heck?! Crazy scrappers I tell ya ;) So I have been a scrappin fool lately. Every time CHA gets tossed around online and I start to see the beautiful new collections coming out, I start to remember the last 12 lines from the last CHA that I had to have and still haven't used lol! Hence why I have been going through my stash, seeing beautiful things, then I get the creative bug all over again. Does this happen to any of y'all? So needless to sayyy I've got another layout forya today. It's another "Find Your Wings & Fly" layout, I just love the colors in this collection by My Mind's Eye! It's a picture of my Beeb and I.

I threw in some stencil/gesso magic in a few spots, just to add some dimension to the already awesomely designed paper..

 



 

Did you notice the "vintage" Making Memories glittered bookplate? I have been hoarding these things for years lol! The Heidi Swapp definitions look perfect all nested in there!

 

Aren't these colors delicious? Love love love.

The Butterfly Show

Happy Saturday! How are you on this glorious summer day?! This summer is absolutely flying by! I have a fun page to share with you today, it's for the My Minds Eye July Sketch Challenge! I scrapped two pictures of my darling niece, Kassidy. She is the sweetest most spirited girl, I just love her! I bought her these purple butterfly wings to wear, and she likes to wear them while prancing around their table on the deck singing, "It's the Butterfly Show! It's the Butterfly Show!" They're not the best quality pictures due to the shadowy deck, but I can't see not documenting a precious memory due to a photo that's not "the perfect lighting" or something. Okay, so here's the sketch;
