Thankful Thursday
Hey my little paper-addict peeps! Well, sadly today was my last day of Christmas vacay, I have to work tomorrow. Yep goin back on a Friday ha! That's okay though I dont mind, Im so thankful to have a job right now! It was so amazing having a few consecutive days off! Is it wrong that I would get up in the morning and change out of my jammies, into a different pair of jammies?! I got back from the store today (in my jammies which by the way were matching so right there ya gotta give me a little credit!) and Beeb says, "you went to the store like that?!" Oh no. Is he really getting to that age? The oh-my-gosh-Im-embarrassed-of-my-mom stage?! NOooooooOOOOOoooo!!!!! I warned both boys already that if they ever act embarrassed of me I will body slam them in front of their whole baseball team and kiss them all over their little faces! Anyhoo, I do have Monday off for New Years so that's cool! Speaking of the new year, over at The Create Blog they had a New Years card challenge, and my card got featured woohoo! So if you're planning on making some fun party cards, go on over there for some inspiration!! I gotta say, being that I didnt have one lick of New Years themed supplies, it was literally a challenge!
I love how festive it turned out! I used these little star gems from Michaels that Ive been hoarding, used a Sizzix die for the stars, the January background is Teresa Collins, sticker letters are Thickers by American Crafts, and just slapped strategically placed little tiny rhinestones to make it look like they were just "sprinkled" amongst the stars. I know. This is some serious stuff here, guys. I love walking around the craft stores and finding little doodads like these gems that aren't technically "scrapbook" supplies and using them on projects. It keeps it interesting! And there really are no rules so what the hey!?
Thanks for stopping by! Keep it festive ladies!

Merry & Bright
Hello loves!! How are you, are you getting hit with the post-Christmas-sadness yet? I am ;( I loovvee Christmas and am always so sad when it's over. I'm going to leave my decorations up probably til after the New Year, is that what you do? I'm just not ready to put my Christmas papercrafting supplies away yet either! I really need to get some Christmas pages done, I'm way behind! One of my creative goals this year is to make at least 1 Christmas layout a month. That sounds realistic doesn't it? I dont want to set the bar too high and just end up disappointing myself haha! I did one the other night of my son Beeb posing like a ham in front of the tree at my moms a few years ago. He's so funny, especially in those crazy jammies!
Such a fun and bright line from MME, I thought it was perfect for these pics! The snowflake is just an unfinished wooden piece from Michaels that I covered in turquoise paint and blue glitter, kind of turned out neat, wanted to match the trim on the jammies ;)
So there ya have it! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas, truly.

12 Days Of Christmas Cards- Day 12!!
Merry Christmas Eve!! What a beautiful morning! I cannot wait for all the festivities to begin, I'm super excited! Time to share my Day 12 card, annnndd you're not going to believe this, but it's.... a ....store bought. I know. The nerve! I saw this pack of cards last year at Barnes & Noble and they just made me smile. I wanted to be able to look at it all through the Christmas season, so I went on a hunt for a frame at Hobby Lobby and ended up with one of those white ornate beauties. Added with some of The Girls Paperie and voila!
So cute & easy! It's up on my kitchen counter so I can see it every time I walk in. Kind of a reminder to not get all stressed out and just be happy! This is the most blessed time of year, we should enjoy it. ;)
So have a very Merry Christmas, and keep it festive ladies!!

I wanted to share Christmas Card number 11 with you, made with some Teresa Collins goodies..
Since I used one of the Christmas chandeliers, it was only right that I add some crystal garland right? I mean hello ;) This line is super fun and bright wouldnt ya say? The polka dot tulle and red rhinestones are from Hobby Lobby. How about you, are your "halls decked?" Did you get your cards done? Thank you guys for stoppin by and keep it festive ladies!

12 Days Of Christmas Cards- Day 10!!
Phew! We made it to another Friday whooooopie!! How thankful I am to be at home snuggling, in my pjs, gazing at my many twinkle lights strewn through the house. I truly believe in that saying "home sweet home." I just love being home chillin with my family, totally content with that. Now, if you were to say you were gonna send me away on a vacay, a warm beach, the sound of waves crashing, skin being drenched in the rays of a big fat sunshine, that's a whoooole other story....Anyhoo, back to the most wonderful time of the year! Bring on Day 10!
Some very chic Teresa Collins goodness, chipboard frame by The Dusty Attic, beautiful cherry cobbler seam binding by Stampin Up, chandelier drop and trim by Maya Road.
I sure love making cards now, I dont really know what happened?! I just started making them like last year or something and now my poor kids' pages are dwindling...I need to start making pages again but Im hooked ahhhhh!!!! Do you know what I think it is? When you sit down to make a card, you can actually "finish" it. A scrapbook is an ongoing thing and I guess it just gets a little overwhelming sometimes...Im sorry, Im not trying to go all "Days Of Our Lives" on you, just sayin. Maybe I just needed a little break or something, just wanted to play a little? But hey! I can do both right? I mean why not? That's the awesome thing about crafting is that there really are no rules! Suits me well, haha!! Sooo cards AND pages it is ladies WHATS UP NOW?! WOOHOO!! Keep it festive ladies!! Love you all!

12 Days Of Christmas Cards- Day 9!!
Wowwww what a long dayyyyy but it's good now ;) I made todays card for someone special, I hope she likes it! I used some more Melissa Frances goodness.
Love the image with the baby Jesus, after all He is the reason for this amazing season, yes?!
I love Him! I put a bow on there because, really, He is a gift. Our gift!
Thanks be to God for his indescribable gift!
2 Corinthians 9:15
So do you think she'll like it? I love this sequin trim, it blends in but adds a little shine too. I cannot believe December is half over already?! What's going on?! Oh my gosh I have sooo much Christmas shopping to do still haha but that's ok. I love buying gifts for people. I truly wish I had more money so I could buy more for people but tis the thought that counts, yes? So have a wonderful evening & keep it festive ladies!

12 Days Of Christmas Cards- Day 8!!
Glad tidings yall! I hope you had a wonderful day! I am super sleepy so it's gonna be a quick post, but I wanted to show you my Christmas card for Day 8! It's got some more Echo Park goodness on it, and over at The Create Blog they have a Christmas card challenge going on where you have to have a Christmas tree on it. So here's mine;
I loved this tree sticker with the music on it, so cute! How many Christmas trees do you have up in your house? I have 2 right now, but plan on having one in each room eventually, I love them! They make the house so pretty don't they? I love driving past peoples houses and seeing their trees in their front windows, all lit up and sparkly. (I mean that in the least creepy way possible, I dont usually peer into peoples windows at night ha!) So there ya have it peeps, have a wonderful night.

12 Days Of Christmas Cards- Day 7!!
Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Mine was busy busy! It always seems that way around the holidays, yes? It's fun but you also need to find some down time for yourself, to refresh and renew your spirit cuz lets face it, if momma aint happy, someone's goin down aint nobody happy! ;) So I came across one of the Echo Park Christmas lines over at the ole Hobby Lobby. It's super cute! I saw a few stickers on it that I loved and immediately an image of a card popped in my head (sick sick sick) annnnndd so hence we have Day 7s card;
It's not exactly how I envisioned it, but that's okay. I couldn't really find "the perfect trim" in my stash but I figured you can't really go wrong with some sheer polkies, right? Anyhoo, I am obsessed with holly, it's just so Christmasy isn't it? Pretty simple card, just slapped some red rhinestones on the berries and that's about the most detailed thing, the doily is from Martha Stewart. How are your cards coming along? Have a wonderful evening and remember to keep it festive ladies!

12 Days Of Christmas Cards- Day 6!!
Yayyy it's almost Friday baby! Any big plans for the weekend? I'm going to work on some Christmas pages, I have so much catching up to do! Soooo do I go in chronological order orrrrr just choose my favorite pics? Hmmm such decisions....I found a few Christmas pages I did a few years ago, and they are so simple but the pictures on them are just adorable. It's funny how you think you're going to remember things but then only a few years go by and you're like holy cow I forgot about that wow this is like the longest sentence ever!! Time is flllyyiinngg by!! We're getting closer to Christmas!! Which brings me to my next point; Christmas Card Day 6! I used the new line Holiday Style by October Afternoon. It's awesome!! (However, these pix are kind of bad I have weird lighting in my scrap room at nite so bear with me peeps)...
I'm really getting my moneys worth out of this snowflake die ha! Love it! It looks so cute when it's used on this sparkly cardstock by Doodlebug Design. The pink doily sticker is from the new Farmhouse line by October Afternoon. Cant say Ive ever made a pink & red Christmas card, but it's just something fun & different. ;)
So have a good night everyone, keep it festive ladies!!

Very simple and fun! I added a few red sparklies to the holly berries and some tinsel trim under the word merry. I think the red & white striped paper is from Teresas birthday line. I love her products because you can mix & match so many of them!

Super fun! Are you guys done with your Christmas shopping yet? I did some this weekend so I feel a little bit better about myself haha! 12 Days Of Christmas Cards- Day 3
Good evening friends! Did you have a good weekend? I actually got some decorations up, but I have to go tomorrow and get a new tree, apparently the one I had didnt survive the year in the attic ;( I swear I feel like I just put the decorations away?!) So here's to Day 3!
Yessss yessss, more snowflakes. I love them! I especially love these snowflake embellishments from The Girls Paperie. I hope I can find more online somewhere to purchase because I just know I'm going to use em up! ;) Please let me know if you stumble across some, kay?
Also, I wanted to show you an ornament I made for my artsy fartsy tree. I have a traditional tree, (well, had) with a mixture of Hallmark ornaments and handmade little treasures the boys brought home from school. Then, I have an artsy fartsy tree in my dining room with all silvery glittery ornaments, angels, stars, and yes, you guessed it, snowflakes. But anyway, here's my very large ornament;
Lots of layering on this baby! I used a Melissa Frances crown, flashcard, and the oval behind the star. I love her Christmas line, it's gorrrgeous!!
Thank you so much for stoppin by and have a wonderful Sunday evening! Good night!

Feature Me Friday
Hey y'all! Just poppin in again to tell you some exciting news! The Kraft Journal has chosen my gift-card-holder-pocket to be their "Feature Friday!" Isn't that fun?! So hop on over there and take a look see, maybe, I dont know, show some love or something ;) See ya tomorrow!
12 Days Of Christmas Cards- Day 2!
Hey my little crafty peeps! How are you this glorious December day? Did you start your Christmas cards hmmmmm? I have Day 2 ready for your viewing pleasure ;)
Now, yes it's super simple. But it's for 2 very specific reasons.
1. I loved the Joy element and wanted to keep the central focus on it.
2. I loved the green "jingle all the way" paper and didn't want to cover it up.
Hence why the card stayed simple, yes? However, nothing I ever do in this life is that simple sooo I jazzed it up with some glitter and tinsel. I love this tinsel trim because it blends in with the snowflake but still adds a little sumthin sumthin. Also this snowflake, though tis fabulous, is just a wooden unfinished cheapy snowflake I bought at the craft supply store slapped some craft paint on it doused it with glitter and badda bing! I know I know, I should teach classes. What can I say, it's a gift.
So thereya have it dudes, Day 2, short and sweet. Thanks for hangin out! Keep it festive ladies!
